In Monroeville, Pennsylvania, a man was seriously injured in a hotel brawl which was allegedly sparked by an extramarital affair. Monroeville Corp. Chad Hoffner stated that there is evidence to suggest that the victim had engaged in an extramarital relationship. Vincent Serzan, who hails from New Jersey, was arrested by the police for assaulting a man who he claimed had slept with his wife. According to the criminal complaint, the two men, who were both fathers of hockey players, were drinking at the Double Tree Hotel on April 14, when Serzan confronted the victim, Jerome McCool. A witness informed the police that Serzan punched McCool, causing him to fall to the ground, after which he repeatedly hit him while sitting on top of him. McCool was unable to fight back, and he was later found near the hotel lobby doors in critical condition.
